Why Lowline Angus?

Recently documented research results from North Dakota University fully support the incorporation of Lowline Angus genetics into any breeding program, from the backyard breeder to large, production-based ranches.
Go to Beef Talk for an informative
report from Kris Ringwall (a North Dakota State University Extension Service livestock specialist and the Dickinson Research Extension Center director) on the benefits of decreasing cow size and increasing quality, performance, and production.

NEWSFLASH!!
BBL SWARD MASTER
2011 NAILE Grand Champion Fullblood Lowline Angus Bull
2011 NAILE Reserve Supreme Overall Lowline Angus
2011 NAILE Lowline Angus 'Produce of Dam' winner
with maternal sister 'Freesia of Black Bottom'
Thank you to our hard-working and talented crew who helped make the NAILE such a great success!!
Left to right: Chriss Payne (OHF-TNG), Troy Pride (Pride Family Farm Show Cattle), Melissa Donaldson (OHF-TNG) , Ruth Payne (OHF-TNG), Dianne Gushee (Gushee Herefords), Matt Thurston (Pine Creek Show Cattle and Fitting Service), Judge JP Hausner, and Raymond Gushee (Gushee Show Cattle and Fitting Service) on the halter.
Continuing in the committment to build upon our grass production based beef program with Lowline genetics, we purchased Sward Master as a calf from Black Bottom Lowlines in Victor, Montana.Sward's Fullblood genetics (see pedigree) are second to none, and his performance in the show ring has made us proud! We're excited about our future with Sward as our JR herd sire...with his calm, docile personality he's a pleasure to work with, and his overall quality, thickness, and correctness make him a complete genetic package. Sward has everything that we are looking for in a top performing Lowline bull! Sward is a super addition to our 'Bull Barn'...he's also quite a charming gentleman with the ladies. This handsome guy loves his work and takes his job VERY seriously!
